My research focuses on the understanding fundamental physical and chemical phenomena occurring at surface and interface, with particular emphasis on the transport of small moleculessuch as CO2 and H2 and the electrochemical reaction to create high value fuels (i.e., H2 from water or CO2-to-hydrocarbon), which finds applications in areas including hydrocarbons production, green hydrogen generation, gas separations, liquid purifications, and etc. The main objective of my research is to establish the next generation module systems combined electrochemical conversions with membrane-based purifications for a step forward achieving Carbon Net Zero.
